Highlights From Workday Rising Orlando
Another Workday Rising U.S. is behind us, and in many ways, this year’s was bigger and better than any previous year.
Workday celebrated record attendance with approximately 13,000 individuals in Orlando for nearly a week of star-studded keynotes, informative sessions and thrilling customer appreciation parties.
This year’s celebrity guests included the legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who opened the conference Monday, Oct. 14, with an entertaining show, followed by Broadway superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda on Wednesday, Oct 16. Speaking with award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, Miranda talked about the creative process and his hit musicals, “In the Heights” and “Hamilton.” He also talked about the importance of creating opportunities for yourself within a changing world.
Change wasn’t just a topic for Miranda’s inspiring interview, though; it was a dominant theme of the entire conference. Workday co-founder and CEO Aneel Bhusri addressed the topic of change directly during the Innovation Keynote on Tuesday, Oct. 15, citing it as the reason Workday is constantly evolving with groundbreaking new features and capabilities. The theme of change was supported on the expo floor as partners and service providers—OneSource Virtual among them—welcomed attendees each day during the conference. We want to thank the nearly 4,000 people who stopped by our booth to say hello and talk to us about our services.
In addition to welcoming guests to our booth, our standing-room-only payroll session on Oct. 15 gave attendees a great opportunity to hear leaders from Land O’Lakes, E. W. Scripps and GlaxoSmithKline talk about the value of OSV’s tiered payroll services to their organizations. If you were unable to attend our session, a recording will be made available soon. Later that night, we held our biggest customer appreciation party ever, with nearly 4,000 people joining us at Disney’s Epcot theme park for a night of food, drinks, live music, Disney villains and a private fireworks show. Relive the night or see what you missed in our photo album on Facebook.
The conference ended Thursday, Oct. 17, with the announcement that next year’s Rising U.S. conference will be in San Francisco from Sept. 21 – 24. And with less than a year to go, we’re already thinking about what we can do to match this year’s terrific successes. We hope to see you there!
